ResLife (Support)

UoN Services Limited (the U) are offering a 20 week (160 hours total) Industry Scholarship (ResLife Support) worth $2880 for semester 1 2014, with the option to renew in semester 2 for a further 20 weeks. THE SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE WILL GET THE OPPORTUNITY TO:

  • Record and capture the unique history and traditions of each College.
  • Assist with the development of resources highlighting the distinct identity of each College.
  • Contribute to the pride and strength of the Residential Community through raising awareness of traditions and values; strengths and achievements of the Halls; and the engagement of fellow residents.
  • Encourage the ongoing development and expression of each College identity.
  • Act as an advocate for UoN, UoNS, the ESIS Program, and its initiatives.
  • Assist with the promotion of student support initiatives to drive participation and enhance the UoNS brand.

    THE REQUIREMENTS FOR THE SCHOLARSHIP ARE:

    • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills and ability to engage with students in College and ex-students, staff and stakeholders of the Colleges.
    • Experience with Microsoft Office software MS Word/Excel/Outlook.
    • Demonstrated activity and interest in College life, in particular College traditions and History.
    • Ability to manage workload effectively and autonomously.
    • Ability to develop and coordinate own project.
    • A current resident of the University of Newcastle Colleges.
    • Current enrolment as a student of the University of Newcastle.
