The Rubens are coming to Newcastle in May. The triple j Unearthed stars, who enjoyed much success in triple j’s Hottest 100 last year will be taking the stage at Bar on the Hill, Friday 31 May, as part of their largest tour to date.

Tickets for the ‘Never be the same tour’ go on sale Friday, March 1.
The Rubens, consisting of three brothers and a mate, have had a pretty amazing run so far, beginning with their album debuting at number #1 on the iTunes charts and an impressive #3 on the ARIA Album chart. The band’s video for ‘My Gun’ was nominated for Best Video at the 2012 ARIA Awards, they scored the J Award for Unearthed Artist Of The Year and landed at #10 for ‘My Gun’ and #66 for ‘The Best We Got’ in the Hottest 100.
Now 2013 is off to a cracking start with the release of a video for their track ‘Lay It Down’ starring Aussie screen sensation Abbie Cornish, their recent signing to Warner Bros. Records U.S. (exc. Aus/NZ/Asia) as well as the album and track ‘My Gun’ certified Gold in Australia.
The Rubens will wind up their massive Australian tour at Bar on the Hill, Friday 31 May. Supported by the Guppies and Will and the Indians.
