Festival of Autonomy

The annual celebration of our divorce from the University of NSW, the Festival of Autonomy is celebrated from August 5-9. Featuring historical and University community events, the Festival of Autonomy ends with a bang with the Autonomy Day Party on Friday at Bar on the Hill, starting at 6am. Sounds early? It is. Very early. But it’s tradition! There are also billy cart races and a carnival on Oval 4 if you’re that way inclined.

Get your lederhosen on and slap those knees! Oktoberfest is a German festival celebrated at Bar on the Hill with steins of beer (or cider, or soft drink), German food and Bavarian music. Participate in the different competitions to win prizes or cheer your mates on. Buy a stein for keeps and celebrate the day away before your exams kick in.
