Evatt House is more than just a place to live, it's about College pride, enthusiasm and mass participation! Originally known as the country kids college, Evatt House is a home away from home for 211 residents who seek independent living in self-catered unit style residences but who want to be a part of a friendly and social community.
Evatt House has built a strong tradition of sporting rivalry and excellence and is actively involved in the wider community in pursuit of ensuring residents develop valuable leadership and promote social responsibility.

Carpe Diem is the motto of which Evatt House residents live their every day - taking advantage of every opportunity to make the most of College living. In conjunction with the ResLife team, the Evatt Residents Association (ERA) organise a variety of activities including sporting events, parties, college dinners, charity and cultural functions and much more. ERA consists of a group of residents who are elected into positions at the end of the previous year. Positions are available every year for first year representatives if you are interested in immersing yourself within the college culture.
Evatt House is divided into units of five, six and ten bedrooms. Each room is supplied with a single bed, study desk and chair, bookshelf, mirror, notice board, desk lamp, wardrobe and heater.
Bathroom and kitchen facilities are shared and each unit has a dining and lounge area with a dining table and chairs, comfortable lounge suite, coffee tables and a television. Kitchens are equipped with kettle, toaster, knives, saucepans, electric frypan, microwave oven, electric stove and fridge/freezer. Residents must bring their own dining utensils or may purchase dining packs containing 1x large plate, 1x small side plate, 1x bowl, 1x drinking glass, 1x coffee/tea mug, 1 each x knife, fork and spoon, through the accommodation portal. Residents are also provided with a pantry space to store their non-perishable food items.

- A common room (known as the CAT Room) including a stereo system, television, pay TV and a range of recreational facilities.
- A study room which can accommodate between six and eight students for quiet study.
- A computer laboratory including internet access which may also be used by residents for study purposes.
