Edwards Hall

Edwards Hall, or 'Teds' for the initiated, is known for its spirited College community committed to academic excellence.  As the oldest College at University of Newcastle, Edwards Hall has proud traditions and is home to 383 residents every year.  298 of these residents live in the main catered halls and 85 live in the self-catered unit style residences.

With so many students living in close proximity, life at Edwards Hall is about building strong bonds between residents.  It's more than a place to live but a lively community which builds your confidence and social skills while striving for academic success.

College Life

Esse Quam Videri - to be rather than to seem, sets a standard for College life at Edwards Hall which all residents aspire.  In conjunction with the ResLife team, the Edwards Hall Resident Member's Association Committee (RMAC) organise a variety of activities including sporting events, parties, college dinners, charity and cultural functions and much more. RMAC consists of a group of residents who are elected into positions at the end of the previous year. Positions are available every year for first year representatives if you are interested in immersing yourself within the college culture.
