      Affiliate with the U

Clubs and Societies play such an integral role in the student experience and our goal is to provide support in any way we can. By offering Clubs and Societies the option to affiliate we feel we can take this support to the next level.

Clubs registered with the U already enjoy benefits including booths at O Week, access to the U smart phone app and event support. This will remain the same for registered Clubs and Societies, while affiliated Clubs and Societies will now be able to take advantage of even more opportunities such as subsidies and funding, free access to meeting rooms, insurance, access to a desk space, pigeon holes for your mail, and ongoing support from the Campus Life team.

We are not taking over managing clubs from any of the other organisations at UoN. Nor are we reducing support to clubs who are not affiliated with us. We promise to continue providing the same level of support to Clubs affiliated with other organisations so that you won't feel any change if you choose not to affiliate with us. This means you will still get free venue hire, free promotional opportunities, discounts on catering and more. And, if you do choose to affiliate with the U, you will be able to access additional support.

If you’re in a Club or Society and want the low down on how to affiliate with the U, download our handy guide that will help you through the affiliation process and show you some of the ropes for when it comes to running a club or society.

Don’t forget! O Week 2013 is just around the corner and Clubs and Societies who are registered or affiliated with the U get access to a free booth during O Week.

The Clubs and Societies section of our website has been updated and should have everything you need to know about affiliating with the U, from starting a club to the subsidies your club can apply for.

Have more questions? Why not pop in and see us in the Glasshouse (inside Bar on the Hill) or email campus-life@newcastle.edu.au

      Beach Party 2011 Announcement

We have been working in overdrive for the past few months trying to pull together an awesome Beach Party line-up for you to celebrate the end of another University year. Sadly, we haven’t been able to secure a line-up that we think you deserve, and that wouldn’t cost you an arm and a leg in ticket prices. So we have decided to give the Beach Party a rest for this year, and instead bring you an awesome end of year party that will be ABSOLUTELY FREE for students, so you can go out with a bang.

      Stay tuned for more details!
